Here is the 'transcript'. The guy on the news is Matt Lewis.

Re: Young Tory in bad taste shocker.

My friend at University did this for a bad taste night. He wore a pink top and pink shorts. I imagine it has been done all over the country. I wouldn't have thought it to be exciting news though? Students tend to dress up as pretty distasteful things all the time. A week doesn't go by without fancy dress nights and there is always someone who does something controversial.

I think this has been blown all out of proportion.

Re: Young Tory in bad taste shocker.

No offence, but if you go to a 'bad taste' fancy dress party with good taste then I think you are missing the point. It is supposed to be a night where you get this sort of reaction!!! The sort where people cross the line.

Ya think?

Regardless of the fact that this guy was a Tory boy or a student, the thing is totally sick, there is bad taste, and there is SICK.

Doesn't say much about them as human beings does it?

Blazy, that is a post you should have thought very carefully before submitting.
Try telling that to the mother of this child who has yet to be found.
The youth of today need a bloody rude awakening as we did when we stepped out of line.
Students who take part in this type of sick humour should be thrown out of state sponsored education for good.

Re: Young Tory in bad taste shocker.

Well I wont bother posting on this topic again because I don't think it is a massive issue. People laugh at jokes about madeleine mccann every day. When she first went missing I heard at least one joke a day about it. And there are plenty of bad taste jokes about loads of other sensitive issues.

My friend did it, why does nobody care about him? Oh wait, he can't be plastered on front of the left wing newspapers as he's left wing... so it isn't worthy of news.

YES it is bad taste, i'm not saying it isn't, in fact the complete opposite. But that was the whole point.

When comedians make jokes about rape, mental illness and disability, is that good taste? Do you still laugh? Because most people do. Otherwise people like Jimmy Carr and co wouldn't have careers.

Total agreement, apart from SOME youth Roy. And that poor little baby...

If I thought my two would do something like this I would thoroughly disgusted!
I must get their opinion on this and see if they are as unfeeling as blazey....

Well it is like the prince harry nazi affair isn't it, people just blow them all out of proportion.

The student didn't rub it in the family's face, whoever betrayed his trust by selling it to a newspaper did.

Re: Young Tory in bad taste shocker.

Because children are honest with their mothers about these things. Like I said, it's been done many times here in Lancaster and no doubt at many other universities. It's only a story because its a CF member

Jimmy Carr famously has a joke about rape.

What sort of comment is that Blazey? I have grown up conversations with mine, about grown up issues. And they are a darn sight more caring and feeling than you, with a wider grasp of the world around them!! I like to think I know where their boundaries lie!
