Such an event is likely to be operated by a pyrotechnic specialist company, and the cancellation will likely involve a fee to be paid by way of 'loss of deposit'.
So if the date is rearranged the overall cost will have increased. A new date will be an anticlimax and will have lost its original purpose, so I doubt that our council will arrange such a 're-date'. waste of public money anyway
