Why has someone else organised something on this same day??
If it means lots of people having to decide which to go to maybe we could move the Accyweb meet by a week either way instead.

Not just Eric, I don't think I will be making it either, much as I really like most of our Accyweb population I would rather eat my own eyeballs than spend time in a confined space with others!

It may surprise you to know that there was in internet back in '91 .... it was the Bitnet (I think there were others, or other names: arcnet comes to mind), used mainly by academics .... people like me who waste their time debating which editions of Fitzgerald's novels are the most definitive ... (You will be happy to know that most informed opinion, even mine, goes to the first English edition.)
