Lightbulb August Bank Holiday Sunday Session

Country Club cordially invite you to attend the next chapter in their series of amazing bank holiday events.

A team of Lancashire based promoters have once again secured one of the North West’s prime rural locations, to stage another one of those exclusive parties people have become accustom to expect.

After the sell out success of their ‘Bling Bling Ball’ on New Years Eve, Accrington based Promoters Jamie Harvey and Dan Johnson have teamed up with Preston Promoters Mark Freejack and Michael Watkinson to bring to you the ultimate August Bank Holiday Party at the ‘New Inns’ on the hills between Blackburn and Preston on Sunday August 29th.

Spanning across 2 main rooms, a terrace and a marquee - Country Club bring together the finest DJs to bring you the very best in House, R&B and Funk Fuelled Latin Classics. Throw into this a Red Bull Bar, an all day barbecue and Helicopter rides and you would be a little closer to imagining the size of this summer sizzler!

25 of the Northwest’s finest djs will be on duty, providing everything from funky house, through to RnB, hip-hop, Soul, Jazz, rare groove and deep house,.

Ideally located in the countryside situated between Blackburn and Preston, Country Club bring to you 11 hours of Bank Holiday madness in the most picturesque of surroundings. With countryside as far as the eye can see, this really is the finest place to spend your bank holiday!

The impressive line up for this big Bank Holiday bonanza includes the following DJ’s;

Its in the countryside, probably in fields belonging to a farmer who will be being paid for it - so I dont think he'll mind much eh?

Re: August Bank Holiday Sunday Session

In response to recent comments;

The New Inns is at least two miles from the nearest built up area. The farmhouse in the immediate vicinity have kindly given their support to the event.

Country Club is not held in a muddy farmers field. It is held inside the New Inns (Shepherds Rest) complex. There is a terrace outside which will be used during the day, for people to soak up some rays and relax to ambient sounds. At night the two indoor rooms will be totally transformed with amazing decorations to create the perfect bank holiday backdrop!

You described Country Club as like ‘listenening to garbage’ fair enough, you are entitled to your views, but I’d like you to be a little bit more specific, if possible, as to which music you are referring to? There will be over 30 of Lancashire’s most successful and well respected musicians performing on the day playing a very wide range of music ranging from, Latino Jazz, Soul, Funk, Rhythm & Blues, Hip Hop, Disco and Funky House so garbage is not the word I would choose to describe them.

If you have any more questions, just ask and I’ll be happy to answer.

I'm with Tealeaf - but I'm sure the young and less discriminate will adore it! After all, if it's noisy enough, you don't have to make conversation or think .... (and yes, my musical tastes range from Mozart to Meatloaf, with a few interesting digressions on the way). How about something a little more upmarket for us oldies?

Re: August Bank Holiday Sunday Session

More upmarket no problem - We also do The Bling Bling Balls which do attract a more mature clientele. Think classical musicians performing to guests dressed in their tux's and gowns whilst sipping champers and watching fireworks outside the marquee. Check out the gallery of the New Years Eve Bling Bling Ball Here >

NOTE: The pics were taken well after midnight on New Years Eve 2003 - Even the camera was a little tipsy!

If I recall correctly there are still a large number of isolated residences in this area.....this racket will kick off at 3pm and will be heard for a long way round, non-stop until 2am. I hope your fuses blow & your generator fails.

Yeah....pools of vomit, & piles of illegal substances...a perfect backdrop

I hope you've got a proper license mate...even if you have, I hope the cops raid and shut you down (While also cracking a few heads at the same time)

Re: August Bank Holiday Sunday Session

One small point - if it is so isolated, who is going to organise transport? Will you provide car parking facilities and also be responsible for taking the keys away from those who are unfit to drive? I only ask ..... if you have ever stood beside a trolley in A&E and wondered which bit went where, you would know WHY I ask, particularly when the body on the trolley belongs to some poor innocent soul who was hit by a drunken driver. Call me old fashioned, but .....

What is the problem here? How miserable can you get!

Someone posts in good faith to advertise a SOCIAL and FUN event and all you can do is offer up childish and outright malicious karma and pick holes in someones hard work.

Ignore the bad vibes Country Club, I for one applaud initiative and hard work, especially when it concerns music and the local area. Have a good night!

CJ, what are you rabbiting on about now? This is not an Accy Web social event - this is a profit making organistion which has placed a free advertisement for an event taking place way outside the Accy/Hyndburn borough.

As for the "music"...are you being serious or what? Are'nt you the guy who's always on about the importance of live music. There's sod-all live about this nonsense...."A dozen of Lancashires finest DJ's"....do we have that many? Doing what? scratching records, thats what?

Don't give me any more nonsense...this is a free advert for a bag of monkey vomit, no more.

Re: August Bank Holiday Sunday Session

I think these going to be a session of our own on this very day, is there not? Should Mr Roy not be charging for this type of advertising? It would pay the bar bill for the next accyweb meeting and have some left over for a good donation for a local charity.

Fair comment - But my business partner and i were born in accrington and still do live there. We put on events all over England, but its always nice to do something on your doorstep and hopefully improve the culture of Hyndburn. As for profits on this event - there are none. As with most of the things we do in Accrington it ends up goin to the charity 'Help A Local Child' (but we dont really like to brag about that). The new inns is well within Hyndburn

There will be 'turntabalists' not DJ's there on the day. Along with other 'live' music involving congos, bongos, trumpets, tronbones, boubles bass, guitars, pianos to name but a few....."

Wait a few secs and ill reply to your earlier post.
