Re: Bonfire Night?

I might have a look to a sensible organised one on Sunday if I can find one but tomorrow we are at my mums for one. Potatoe pie, pea and ham, pastry crusts, beer ......... and every year up to now something very giddy has happened.

Might be ok now. When I went, not only were you looking out for what your own kids were up to, you were having to watch everyone elses too. There semed virtually no adult supervision or organisation were the kids (yes kids) could let there fireworks off safely, they were just setting them off willy nilly were they stood, even when that was at the side of someones feet.

Like I said though that was a few years ago, I've never ventured back since but it does seem popular down there, so things might have changed.

Re: Bonfire Night?

Bowley scout camp Gt Harwood usually has a bonfire and fireworks display. I haven’t heard anything this year or seen any adverts.
I personally have been many times and it’s usually a good doo. They do charge you to gain access and charge for parking but it’s all to raise money for the scout camp. If it is on, chances are that it will be tomorrow night, not sure of the time though (early).
I have sent them an email asking for some info but it may be a bit late now to expect a reply.
