Brass bands in Oakhill Park

Well the new bandstand was complimented a lot on Sunday. Got to admit it does look really good (i'd love to have one in Rhyddings).

Anyway, another event coming up to use it. A Brass band concert on Sunday 30th August - 3pm to 7pm.

Bring a picnic and watch the bands.

Re: Brass bands in Oakhill Park

I need a few volunteers to help out on Sunday 30th August.

If you volunteer you'll be helping to make sure the bands go to the right place when they come in; looking out for lost children and manning the first aid point.

We also need, desperately, a first aider who can deal with bumps and bruises. We can't get Red Cross or St John's as there are a couple of big events in Lancashire on that day and they're all tied up.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Well, it looks like the weather is going to be good on Sunday for this one. Don't forget your picnics and come and enjoy the bands in Oakhill Park.

Re: Brass bands in Oakhill Park

Just a reminder. Should be a good afternoon out - especially if the weather is good.

Bring a picnic and a blanket (or deckchairs) and enjoy the bands. A good variety of traditional park music plus some extra treats.

Anyone who has offered to help as a steward, please come along at 2.45pm and make yourself known to me. Easiest way is to go to the bandstand and ask them to point me out or put a call out.
