Crocy Trail - Chester

During the half term break a few weeks ago I went to the Crocy Trail near Chester with the kids and wife. Luckily the weather was brilliant. All I can say is that its like a poor mans Alton towers. Lots of rides, no electricity, no stewards. It reminded me of when I was a child, lots of good honest fun. kids get full of mud. If you do an internet search you can see some of the rides. We took a picnic (there are picnic tables). couldnt get the kids to come home!! Well worth the £7 each entrance fee. Like I said, dont expect gadgets, just plenty of ropes, slides and lots of fun!!

How old are your kids? What's the sort of age group it appeals to?

Re: Crocy Trail - Chester

My kids are 13 and 11. I would say from 6 yr old to about 13 yrs old. When I went, there were hundreds and hundreds of kids really having fun. Nobody there measuring the size of the kids, just kids jumping on obstacles, climbing rope bridges across streams.

That looks great for kids. Can adults go on all the stuff because I'd take my son and god daughter both of whom are under 5 (but very adventurous (sic) ) but I wouldn't want them to go the activities alone.

Yes Lolly you can go on the obstacles with the kids..Be careful though as there arnt any stewards.. There is a nice walk round thats about a mile and it has lots of different things you can do before coming back to the main area (small zip wire, underground tunnel, small bridges, slides). I got recommended to go off somebody else and its a change from chester zoo. I know a lady at work who went with her kids and they loved it! she took a change of clothes for the kids!! It really is an eye opener. Like I said dont expect posh stuff and take a picnic. There is a very small hut that sells ice cream and things but bringing your own stuff is cheaper
