Plans are well underway for this year's Accrington Food & Drink Festival - and this year we're giving you a unique "char-à-banc" way to arrive in style!
Formerly known as Lancashire Food Festival, this year the newly rebranded Accrington Food and Drink Festival will be a one-day event designed to showcase the area's best food and drink.
Supporting farmers and independent traders, the festival - now in its 18th year - will entice hungry crowds in with a host of culinary surprises, from freshly made pies and black puddings to healthy juices and colourful cakes.
In a first for the 2015 festival, we're teaming up with the Darwen Transport Trust to lay on two historic buses to bring families from Hyndburn Districts including;
- Great Harwood
- Rishton
- Baxenden
- Church
- Altham
- Clayton-Le-Moors
- Huncoat
- Oswaldtwistle
- Rising Bridge
and further afield, allowing you to enjoy the day - sampling the finest local food and drinks and not worry about the return journey!
Peter Dawson from the Darwen Transport Trust has kindly loaned us their Darwen Corporation - Leyland Titan PD2 65 seater Double Decker and Haslingden Corporation - Leyland Tiger PS1 35 seater buses, so make a date to hop aboard our charabancs (for a small nominal fee) and join us for an amazing – and fun – day out discovering world-class food and drink producers right here on our doorstep!
We'll be releasing the booking form soon on
