Am hoping that a visit to the season's first meeting on Thursday evening will pay dividends, so will check it out.

Glad that you caught onto my train of thought Les. I was far too subtle for Katex.

Richard's family owned the Observer. I think this will be one of the highlights of the society's year.

Re: Hyndburn Local History Society 2012/13
Jan 10th - talk about Tiffany Glass
Can I just mention to folk this will be a FAB talk. Doug Jackson must know more about Tiffany Glass and the Briggs family of Accrington than anyone else I know. He was a friend of Norman Potter, one time curator of Haworth Art Gallery and became interested in the history of the glass through his friendship with Mr Potter.
Well worth a trip to the library, even if its a horrible night!

My, don't these girls scrub up well, although I'd of thought perfume would've been the better option.
