Kites in Rhyddings Park
On Wednesday 19th August, we're running kite workshops in Rhyddings Park.
We've been holding arts and craft workshops every Wednesday afternoon during the holidays and they've proven very popular. We had 87 young people one week and 78 last week. Even when it was a torrential downpour we had 46. Anyway, this week is a little bit special. We've got a specialist kite maker coming and he's going to be helping us make some kites which can then be flown on the field. We've also got a stunt kite flyer coming along who will be giving demonstrations (depending on the wind). We've also got our two regular artists plus myself making paper airplanes and other flying things. It's all free and runs from 1pm to 4pm. Find us in the marquee. |
