Ooooh, I love strawberries with black pepper but have never had the jam. Can you post it on here when it's ready?

Re: Lancashire Food Festival

Well I can say for the first time I didn't enjoy the food festival at all this year. Nothing to do with the stalls and everything to do with having too many people in such a small space, especially when pushing a pram.

When did adult carers and old people get so rude? The old lady that had a go at me in the town hall on saturday after she pushed past me and the pram, only to step back into the front of the pram coz she didn't have any room to continue forward, and then somehow I ended up in front of her again and she verbally abused me again when I couldn't move anywhere coz I was boxed in, made my blood boil!!!

I didn't get chance to try anything coz I couldn't get near any of it!!! May I sugest to the organisers next year a one way system!!!!

Re: Lancashire Food Festival

It's become a victim of it's own success, needs a bigger space to be best enjoyed by all, it's mayhem with a pram or a small child. Maybe better next year in a huge marquee at Oakhill park ??

Unless the grass is soggy then the Council won't allow it at the last minute.

Think the link to her website is on the food festival site at top of this thread, what flavour did you get, I'll pass it on .[/quote

The Reedys one we got was Spicy Plum and it was tip top.

I must admit i could see it being a big big problem, thats why with a 4 year old and a 10 month old we went down for the last couple of hours on the sunday when it had quietened down and as a bonus most stalls were selling things off cheap!!!!

Re: Lancashire Food Festival

I just want to say congratulations to all involved in the Food Festival. It picked up an award at yesterday's Tourism Awards.

Well done!
