Accrington Town Hall’s first ever Wedding Fayre is set to get off to an official start when it is officially opened by the borough’s Mayor this Sunday.
The Mayor of Hyndburn, Cllr Munsif Dad, will welcome guests from all over the region to the event this Sunday, 1 March, from 11am until 4pm.
The Wedding Fayre brings together suppliers and businesses from East Lancashire’s thriving wedding business scene, with a host of exhibitors signed up to showcase their products and services to brides and grooms-to-be.
Two catwalk shows due to take place at the fayre will take a “Hollywood meets Bollywood” slant, with two of the region’s most popular bridal gown suppliers joining forces to showcase a multitude of gowns ranging from traditional to contemporary designs.
Accrington’s Ann Whittakers Bridal Shop will run the first show from 12 noon, followed by Asian bridal specialist Bee's Boutique, the event’s main sponsors, at 2pm.
Entry to the show is free.
The event has been organised by marketing company Scott Dawson Advertising, who have been working alongside Hyndburn Council and Hyndburn Leisure to market the newly refurbished ballroom following a £750,000 makeover.
SDA have also produced a brochure to promote the ballroom as a wedding reception venue.
Guests can browse stands showcasing wedding flowers, cakes, table dressings, footwear, catering, stationery, accommodation, henna hand painting, entertainment and photography.
Re: Mayor to launch Town Hall’s first Wedding Fayre
Good luck with that! I trust they're going to be aiming for the gays of the village as it seems they're the only ones bouncing up & down demanding their right to get married, meanwhile the rest of the populace don't seem overly fussed as it might impinge on their lifestyle.
