Re: october meet ?
Sounds like you had a good time.
I'm crossing my fingers, toes, and everything else, I'll make the next one.
I've even booked the flights carefully, to go and see my friends in Gran Canaria, so that I'm free for the November and Christmas one.

Re: october meet ?
I tried the non-alcoholic lager. It was yuck. It smelled of Thwaites's breweery on a bad day. Should have stuck to something familiar.
The buffet food was lovely though, apart from Busman overloading me with salted peanuts. I said ' a few'!

Re: october meet ?
I had a lovely evening, thank you Mick and Mez and to the Railway people of course.
Had to laugh re. Sara 'lurking' first with her husband to decide whether to come over and introduce herself .. decided we were OK and was lovely to meet you .. smashing friendly lady, hope you come again.
Berniie: Had to laugh, the reason I appeared to have got to the meet so quickly, after you spotting me on line a minute before, was due to the fact forgot to log off.. trick of mine to confuse people ...
And folks if you send a PM to a member re. collection in their taxi .. DONT FORGET TO ACTUALLY PRESS THE SEND BUTTON. Sorry HR ...

Re: october meet ?
Great night, good venue, shame the landlord can't see the heaps of praise regarding his pub and the fantastic food he laid on for us (Apparently, he doesn't have a computer)
Thanks Mez for your efforts to arrange last night

Re: october meet ?
Great to meet everyone that was there, you're all nice friendly people. Like the railway, and other pubs should take notice of the smoking area. Shall try and make another one but get there earlier.

Re: october meet ?
A bit of a mini meet this time. But had a great time. The food was very welcome.
It was lovely to meet Sara and hope she will come again.
I think the Railway has been done up really nice and the smoking area's brilliant.
Met an old friend I'd not seen in years.
Sorry to hear you weren't well Rind. Hope your OK for the next one missed ya chuck. xx
