You can now download the complete brochure for this event.

This is subsidised by Grassroots Grants which is why ticket prices are ridiculously low for the shows.

This is not just for women, by the way, it's for everyone.

For people who have the odd grumble that there is never anything on at the theatre, this is a good opportunity to prove that you would attend events and activities if they were put on for you.

Re: Open Minds Festival

My chiropody appointment clashes with Germaine Greer, and since a cancellation will mean a 2 month wait for a fresh appointment, I won't be able to go

Well I should think listening to Ms Greer would be like having your toenails pulled out without anesthetic anyway Margaret

Thanks Kate, support is appreciated.

I know that this whole event week is 'different' but we've got to keep trying different stuff.

Re: Open Minds Festival

It's a shame that the Germaine Greer event is on a weekday afternoon, as I'd have liked to have popped along. Working just gets in the way of the things that I want to do.

I think I may pop along, just for the laugh. One Pound 20p seems quite reasonable for an afternoon's entertainment. I assume, of course, we shall be allowed to heckle.

By some strange serendipidy, I have received a revised chiropody appointment date
(I didn't ask.....cue spooky music)

So if Tealeaf is there I will make a point of sitting near him with a large handbag

This sounds like a really great idea ... of course, as usual, I will be in Canada, and will miss it all ... hope it's a great success.

It's £12 a ticket and you will be allowed to ask intelligent questions - which rules you out Tealeaf.

Oh so it's cup final day is it?
Who is playing who?
Wish I had known earlier in the day, because it is the only day of the year when visiting shops is anything like a civilised pastime
