Party in the Park

Just a reminder, for those that know and information for those that don't - Sunday 3rd May is Rhyddings Park's Party in the Park.

Lots of stuff going on - fun for all the family.

Bring a picnic.

Let's hope we get good weather!

Re: Party in the Park

This has been suggested as an alternative AccyWeb meet and I think a few will be in the park. I know there were a few of us last year. I intend to be in the vicinity of the Stop and Rest Pub

Not a bad weather forecast 'at the moment' either.

Ya and I remember Michael Fish once saying not to worry about the weather, the people in Three Oaks weren't terribly impressed

Hope to see you all there.

Re: Party in the Park

I have just driven past the park twice between 4pm and 4.15pm.
I couldn't find a parking space within the distance I felt capable of walking - so came home.
The band wasn't in the place it was last year and the big field wasn't full of people - so they must be having the activity in a different part of the park this year.

PS couldn't hear any band playing

I had the same trouble with parking, for some reason the road alongside the park was coned off!
Great police presence there as well, I guess the children where looking a little scary..?

Re: Party in the Park

We had to put the band further into the middle of the park because the field was too wet - the stage would have sunk in it.

Parking is restricted in front of the park for safety reasons.

Thanks to everyone who did show up - probably about 800 throughout the day.

Just think how cheesed off we'd have all been if it had been today!!!!!
