Re: Peter Kay

No i have`nt read his books because i don`t read...!!!!lol

I must admit i was`nt over bothered about going because i really went off him with all that Geraldine rubbish but he is promising a load of new material instead of the same stuff he`s been knocking out for the last 6 years ........i love his old stuff especially `That Peter Kay Thing` and the episode about Leonard the oldest paper boy in the North West......................but its a good excuse for a night out in Manchester anyway

Re: Peter Kay

It’s true that the response from Tuesday evening’s audience at the Arena in Manchester was nothing short of adoration.

And the Bolton comedian did not disappoint the 11,000 strong crowd. He proved he is still the king of comedy.

His first show in his residency at the arena had the enthusiastic audience screaming for more and earned him a standing ovation.

There was an extra surprise when Newton-le-Willows crooner Rick Astley bounded on stage as Peter’s official warm-up act, performing a half hour set with a mix of old and new songs and a surreal medley of Manchester favourites by Oasis, The Smiths, The Happy Mondays and New Order.

Re: Peter Kay

Well , we went to see Peter on friday and was a little disappointed to be honest,Rick Astley was up first and although he had a good voice he had a bit of a `look what i`ve been reduced to` look on his face..........PK came on bang on 8.30 and was on for 45 minutes before he had a break of nearly half an hour!!! then did another 45 mins and that was it !!!! he rolled out the same type of gags he has been doing forever (although very funny) and ended with a musical number.....all in all considering the ticket price( nearly £40 all in ) i felt a little short changed, all in all though combined with a cracking full day and night on the razzle we had an excellent time, don`t get me wrong he was`nt rubbish just a bit underwhelming really, if you already have a ticket enjoy but if you have`nt you are`nt really missing out on anything.

Re: Peter Kay

now i thought that about his second dvd 'Bolton Albert Halls' it was very much like 'top of the tower', he did the same gags and it wasn't as funny

Re: Peter Kay

The problem with all acts is once you've released a DVD it's gone, his act would have lasted a lifetime years ago

after a much needed break peter kay will soon be resuming reciting the same jokes word for word and releasing the same identical tour dvds with merely a title chance and ripping off his fans once again lol
