Question Time in Accrington

HYNDBURN residents will have the chance to quiz the decision makers at a special event in Accrington on 23 November.

Lancashire County Council’s Cabinet Question Time will come to the Saturn Suite at the Globe Centre, St James Square, at 7.15pm to give local people the chance to speak to politicians.

The evening will be hosted by BBC TV’s Dave Guest and will give the audience the opportunity to discuss any issues of concern with members of the county council’s Cabinet. This is the latest in a successful series of events that has seen hundreds of people turn out to talk about local matters.

The Leader of Lancashire County Council, Hazel Harding, will be joined by county councillors Doreen Pollitt, Chris Cheetham, Jean Battle and Marcus Johnstone.

County Councillor Harding said: “These sessions are all about democracy in action and they are often lively, informative and entertaining too.

“They have been running successfully for some time now and I would urge anyone with questions about Lancashire County Council services to come along.”

Typical! I won't be able to go to that because I've got a "Post 16 Options Evening" at Moorhead.
