Talking Restaurants

So where do people like to eat? we always end up going to the same place cause there doesn't seem to be much around anymore!
Our favourite place is Jade Garden (opposite Tesco Express on Manchester Road). Excellent chinese food, lovely owner and reasonably priced. (We usually get 2 starters, share the main meal, 2 glasses of wine and 2 beers, always between £20-25). Never disappointed!
Also, that Italian place next to Hyndburn Sports Centre (can't think what it's called!!). Good food but a little expensive.
Of course, Checcos is amazing but is left to special occassions because of the cost! Bearing in mind getting a taxi there and back if you want a drink, which of course is always nice
Anyway, I ramble. Any reccommendations?

Monte Cristo, I quite like it there

Tried that Chinese restaurant (can't recall the name!) up near the Greyhound on Whalley Road, opposite side of lights, last month. Excellent food, very tasty indeed. We only had main meals and drinks and it was just over £40 for two.

Re: Restaurants

Bentley Wood farm is good again.

Coach and Horses also has never disappointed.

La Veranda recently changed hands but seems to have kept the quality.

Sykedside Country house is a lovely place for a special meal and not badly priced either! Its also easily within taxi distance from central accy or Bash

There are other nice places that we've used through Hi Life but it would take me ages to go through them all.

Snap!!! We also have a Hi-Life card and have eaten at some cracking places (not always locally). The Chinese at the Greyhound is called Mao Tai (or something similar), had a couple of cracking meals there.

The one across from Greyhound is called Mutai. I better tell my friends who have just booked to have their wedding at Rosins.

Re: Restaurants

I had my last Christmas do at the Hare and Hounds and thought it was excellent. I dont understand why you thought it was dirty because it certainly isnt. It could probably do with being bought abit upto date but the food is great.

Also, Ger Hana on Blackburn Road, West End is nice. Its Mongolian style buffet so you get to choose your meats and veg, put them into a dish, choose a sauce and take it through to the chef and watch him cook it in front of you. Its about £12-13 per person for a meal but you can go back to the buffet table as many times as you like. When I go I try to stick with smaller portions so I can try more dishes. The standard of food is excellent, very simialr to Chinese food but with a bit more oomph.
