Re: Rock N Roll Night Pop Club
Have noticed that Allan Heyes is also advertised as playing at The Brewers on Sunday afternoon, 8th March. I'm guessing this will be his normal Rock n Roll Gig, whereas the one at the Pop says "Billy Fury" Tribute. Last time i saw him do the Billy Fury gig, was at the Pop last year, but he still did his normal act after the first spot.

Re: Rock N Roll Night Pop Club
Yep i'll second that, dont go expecting to see Billy's double, but will be a good night i'm sure. It was really busy last time he was there...heaving in fact, but that was before the credit crunch started to bite, so that may have some effect...time will tell!

Well, no entry fee Taggy, so that will help.
Agree, he could never look like Billy, Cashy, but love all the songs he did, like that one about 'Step to Paradise', after a few bacardi/cokes would be flaying me arms about and sending out kisses these yobo pensioners eh ?

Re: Rock N Roll Night Pop Club
Yep i really enjoyed it last night Cashy, but i'm ruddy paying for it now, after a stressfull day in Manchester, let off steam with rather too many beers and must admit to having a bit of a hangover as i'm typing this!! Must admit i did'nt think Alan was quite as good last night as when i've seen him previously, but he still put a good show on, but as you said its the Music thats the thing really is'nt it, you really cant go wrong with that stuff. Was good to see a club full of people having a good time. Also enjoyed seeing the Black and White footage of Billy Fury on the TV near to the bar too. Was great to see a few other Accywebbers too who's faces i can now place to user names, shame not to have more of a chance to natter really, enjoyed an all too brief chat with Katex whilst queing for me bevarage's, and i think i spotted Katex and Tosh having a bit of a bop on the dancefloor at one point!! What a pair of Groovers eh?
I dont know who the couple were that we were sat with, but the bloke was attracting a few humerous comments from the ladies behind us for his rather unique dancing style. He looked rather like a slimed down Peter Sutcliffe!!...Sorry thats cruel i know!! Hell, ive just thought, i hope you lot dont know him now i've said that.
Best Regards - Taggy
