Spice Room

Ok went to the Spice Room tonight in otherwords what was the Rising Bridge Inn.

Its very nice - theres no pics because the battery has given out on the camera - (it took 1 pic and gave out). You enter by the entrance of the car park. Then they will come and ask you to sit and down and choose what you want. The suites brown leather and comfy as well, carpets are soft - just wait till they are bedded in, coffee tables that matches the suites. Nice pics on the walls very nicely decorated.

Anyway food wise there was 11 of us so we went thro the menu like nobodies business. Starters up for grabs onion bajis, samosas meat and veg, prawn puri, garlic mushrooms, - all very nice - served with a fresh salad and all looked nice - we returned the veg samosas (not warm) and they brought fresh ones out with a fresh salad as well. I had onion bajis - 4 large ones and a salad. they were very nice as well. Main courses - well you got plenty - i couldnt eat all of mine, salmon rogan josh you got 3pieces of salmon under neath the rogan josh, samba was spicy, chicken jalfrezi was nice - watch out for the chilli - as my nephew eat his and couldnt speak for 5 mins peace at last. All in all it was very nice they do takeaway menu as well which exactly the same but with a 20% discount. I nabbed a menu and brought it home. Price wise - for 11 of us with 9 starters, 11 main courses, poppadums for all 11 of us with chutneys, all our drinks (including alcoholic and non-alcoholic), coffees, naan bread £217. That was eating in. Like i said there is a 20% disc for takeaway. I got a freebie drink there was baileys in it and topped with cream but after that i dont know wot else was in it when i booked i said it was for my birthday and they decorated a table with balloons and banner and other bits and pieces. All in all a good night out. Be careful on the wine list though - drinks are expensive.

Re: Spice Room

Glad you had a lovely meal, and what sounds like a great fortieth birthday bash.

I'll keep it in mind for mine.
