The best sunday roast
Can anyone help me? I am after a place that serves food that offers a good menu or a great sunday roast for when I have visitors. Preferably that serves real ale as I dont want to cook.

Re: The best sunday roast
;D The Griffin at the top of Burnley rd do a sunday roast, or they used to. We went in earlier this year, when we took my mum for her mother's day dinner. The landlord Nick is great, my brother in law goes in there a lot, not sure if they serve real ale, but I can find out. :-*

Re: The best sunday roast
We went to a REALLY nice place, along the road towards Kieghley after Colne (takes about 25 minutes to get there, lovely drive). I'll ask my mum what it was called.

Re: The best sunday roast
Does anyone know that pub going out towards Gisburn where you can get Roast Italian Rabbit, with mashed parsnips & wild camarge rice?

Re: The best sunday roast
OK, Malbu, the place is called the Tempest Arms and is in Elsack which is a village on the way to Skipton. It's on the main road.
Please leave my rabbit out of your culinary dreams, poor thing! You can come for spaghetti any time at my place, but Mario has to be left IN ONE PIECE!

Re: The best sunday roast
I know....but I can't get one from ASDA, can I? If only they'd chuck out some of those dodgy Thai Salmanella chickens from their freezer and make room for some nice Italian Bunnys...mind you, fresh is nicer. It's just that the Lasagne I made the bunny mince turned out very dry. Possibly I did'nt use enough fresh Italian tomatos for the sauce...any ideas, anyone?

Re: The best sunday roast
welsh rabbit is very nice and you do not need any tomato sauce either unless it's h.p

Re: The best sunday roast
You'll be having bad luck soon if Mario gets word of this conversation, he'll have your ankles for chewing gum - ask my gran, bit her rotten, he did!
