Thornton Hall Farm

Have been to a farm today with the children. It was really good the children had a ball. They enjoyed the tractor/caterpiller ride and the safari.

Well worth a visit.

Thornton Hall Farm Country Park provides a fun-filled and educational place to visit for a day out.

Re: Thornton Hall Farm

Looks a bit like Smithills Farm in Bolton, again an excellant day out where the kids can feed the animals including bottle feeding lambs etc, hold day old chicks, rabbits etc

Another great day, but further afield is South lakes animal park.

Both are on the web

My mum took my children there earlier this week.

They enjoyed it very much.

As they walked into the barn the goats were being let out of their pen by one of the staff.

One goat made a bee-line for my son, knocked him over and walked over him. My mum was a bit shocked and my daughter thought it was the funniest thing ever.

He was ok, he took it in very good humour.

He certainly won't be writing to the Bolton equivalent of the Observer anyway.
