Unfortunately I don't think our good friend Baabara will be able to make it. I saw her today, she is on holiday in Scarborough. She was being carried around by a young man and looked very inflated and happy. If you don't believe me ask Sparky. We will be going to Whittakers tomorrow night to sample the beer.

There is the Plough up Fielding lane and then the Shoulder of Mutton at the top.The Red Lion up Willows lane has one and then there is the Spinning Jenny.Me i prefer teh Red Lion and the Shoulder of Mutton as its out in the country and you can let the Kids run about.

Re: welcoming nastya & baby nina////
Here's the low down on the Whittakers Arms, courtesy of Lettie and myself.
It would most definitely be suitable for an Accyweb meet-up. The pub is very spacious inside, with plenty of comfortable seating areas. To the rear of the pub, there are some picnic style table and seat combinations, on the edge of an enclosed carpark. Behind this, overlooked by the Coppice, there is a grassed area.
Behind the bar was the usual range of lagers, cider and fizz beer. Most noticeably they were serving three real live beers. Moorhouses Premier, brewed in Burnley; Timothy Taylor's Landlord and a very dry summer ale by the Phoenix Brewery called Arizona. This place certainly gets a thumbs up from me, for the quality and selection of real beer.

Re: welcoming nastya & baby nina////
We most certainly will Littlemo. Whittakers also do food, and have a Sunday carvery. For about £8 ish you can have an all you can eat carvery including sweet and ??starter. It would probably be cheaper than our curry bill. I think we should try it sometime.
