If it's a nice weekend, can we have somewhere with a beer garden. I know it sounds a bit health professional ish, but I have a thing about babies and smoky pubs (Cot Death Guidelines)

What an absolutely fantastic excuse!

Could we also have somewhere that sells real live beer as well, please.

I've just been virtually prodded to name a pub with a beer garden.

My suggestion is the Whittakers Arms on Burnley Road, opposite the main gates to Accrington cemetary. It has a large grassed beer garden to the rear.
I'm not sure whether it serves real live beer. I may have to do a little investigative journalism here, and report back.
