Yes, it does look very nice, but I rather think you may feel a little out of place there, mate. Scroll down to the bottom picture and take a look at some of the pictures on the walls to find out why!

O.K. so you want to see something live, well if you go to the Railway this Saturday at 8 p.m. you will be able to see:-
The Inca Thieves
They are supposed to be an excellent indy band, (whatever that is), with their own original material.
I hope you not only go and enjoy, but also,
A/ Mention that you saw them advertised on accyweb to everyone there.
and
B/ Take some time to tell us how much you enjoyed the show.
If you now come on here saying you couldn't put the effort in to go, then don't complain if this turns out to be the last 'live act' on show in there.

Well no response from the starter of this thread.
Will any other accywebbers be turning up?
I hope so, because if this proves successful, maybe they'll put something else on that I and others like me might enjoy, but if no-one goes, where is the point of complaining about no live music?
Let's all just stop in and let the rubbish karaoke crowds keep dominating our pubs!

Re: Whats happening in accrington
If you can't go to your local pub after a hard day down the pit - in the mill - on the building site or in the engineering works or local factory and have a fag and a pint It's time to give up.
Sorry I seam to be in a time warp.

Out of curiosity how do you think it would work?
How many pubs do you think would get involved or have the capacity to host bands? What would be the market - what type of music?
When would be a good time - summer? How many people go down town these days?
I see the beginning of an idea so just need more suggestions.

Re: Whats happening in accrington
worked in many areas that have done this type of thing but can go a few ways 1 , council would have to get involved and then streets , would be closed , then maybe few headline bands would play in front of hyburn council , maybe like the xmas switch lights switch on , then at night each pub would have there own type of bands on , think each calder would have indy bands but some would have rock , depends what your music you play,
all depends on people getting involved
