Accyweb Awards 2008 - the categories
There are final six categories in the Accyweb awards 2008.
BEST OVERSEAS CONTRIBUTION
This can be for general contributions, a thread on and overseas subject or for a single informative post from an overseas contributor.
MOST POINTLESS CONTRIBUTION
This could be for a thread that has no purpose whatsoever, if you can beat my thread about toe nail clippings when I was extremely bored one night, then you’ll deserve this prize.
FUNNIEST THREAD OR FUNNIEST THREAD WANDER
This is one that does exactly what it says on the tin, nothing in the over 18 section can be nominated.
BEST HISSY FIT
This can be awarded to one contributor who’s thrown a fit or it could be awarded to two people who have had a well documented spat.
DOUBLE ENTENDRE AWARD
Again, nothing in the over 18 section should be nominated. This is for someone who has managed to be as rude as possible whilst remaining completely clean.
BEST THREAD
Over all contribution to the site, which thread has run and run and got most people contributing to it.
There will also be a couple of special achievement awards which will be awarded to individuals throughout the ceremony. These will not be awarded by voting but can only be nominated secretly through a pm to me. Please don’t post these on the thread as they will need to be kept secret.
So, this is how it will work. We now we need nominations for each of these categories. Please put forward your suggestions for each of the categories – you can either do this on thread or you can pm me with ideas. This time next week I will post the nominations and then voting will start.
But that can’t be done without your nominations – if you can put links in to threads as well that would really help me.
Thank you and may the games commence.

Best Overseas Contribution- Steeljack, for his insightful Californian's view of life in the U.K.
Most Pointless Contribution- Grannyclaret's monthly white rabbit thread. Pointless, but much loved.
Funniest Thread or Thread Wander- Less's Oh Look, It's Jump on the Bandwagon time thread.
http://www.accringtonweb.com/forum/f...ime-34445.html
Best Hissy Fit- Jambutty, for getting in a tizz, everytime someone doesn't use his full username.
Double Entendre- Neil.
Best Thread- I'm sure there are loads, but I'm nominating two of my own.
AccyWeb Video Jukebox, for allowing people to share some great, and much loved, music clips.
http://www.accringtonweb.com/forum/f...box-33999.html
Hyndburn to be axed, an ongoing thread, that raised many important issues, regarding the borough.
http://www.accringtonweb.com/forum/f...xed-31135.html
My ideas for who deserves an award for special services will be sent by pm.
This concludes the votes from Tallinn.
Thank you for a wonderful show, from your friends in Estonia.

It's easy to remember the threads of the last week or so, but searching back throughout the year, there has been some real cracking threads.
I found the search button very useful.

Re: Accyweb Awards 2008 - the categories
I would like to nominate the " We love Coley " thread from the Stanley site for best thread wander ! Starts of as an appreciation of John Coleman and then develops into a fishy thread, I found it amusing !

Garinda and Jambutty for the hissy fit award in honour of their many spats.
I shall need to think more about the other awards

By the way, I wasn't being cheeky, as the catagory was the only one I could fit it in.
Lot's of us love your White Rabbits thread, and when you were off line one month, it didn't feel as if the month was somehow right.
