Re: Alcohol/Canal
I was checking out justin.tv before and there was this crazy program on 24 hours day. Turned out to be Trailer Park Boys. Not to everybody's tastes I guess(with the sensitive subject matter) but initially I found it funny because of that character Julian that was always carrying around a glass of whiskey and coke everywhere he went.

Could power it from one of those maplin solar battery chargers, that could be kept floating by glueing it to some of that 10' by 8' polystyrene.
Maybe the boat could be pushed out on new gear by getting a really really big grant from the RSPB, a long letter about rumours that the canals tidal movement of rubbish causing an adverse effect on swans behaviour making them attack the ducks & needs urgent investigation.

Re: Alcohol/Canal
Could make some kind of flat out of all the frosty jack bottles(oddly getting back on topic) that someone was kind enough to leave on the canal in excess in foresight of this project :-)

I had kept it on topic, polystyrene, ducks, swans, rubbish,
canal movement all been mentioned I even threw in a boat.
I didn't mention using a shopping trolly as an aerial because it would slow everything down when it gets covered in weed.

Re: Alcohol/Canal
Haha. Of course. :-D
I just found out that someone has been squatting in the house my parents are waiting to sell, and guess what was found? That's right, a load of empty frosty jack bottles. Perhaps the person has relocated. :-(

Re: Alcohol/Canal
Just wanted to thank you guys for this thread, it's really helped to lighten the tone of Accyweb after some of the darkness of recent weeks. Also it's given me a good laugh and kept me amused when I ain't been feeling at my best. Well done.
Am I the only female posting on this thread? Always did like hanging out with the lads!

I think we should keep this thread to facts we can substantiate and not speculate until we have more evidence. As the object under surveillance is on the other side of the canal and out of reach, I think we should wait until it drifts accross to the towpath side. I will at this time approach the object and speak to it to see if i get a response, I am aware that the only response I could get will be one of those jackets that have straps up the back

Fair enough but the fact is,If its n alien object english may not be its spoken language,? What steps to take in this instance should be considered.

I thank you for your subscription to this important thread, I can report that other females have contributed to this thread, and a lot more are following the progress of the extinguisher without contributing.
I am not sure what is amusing about the thread, as this is an in depth investigation into canal tidal flow and how barge movements effect detritus.
(I have made a descision to keep away from the heavy subjects, and the people that fuel them, I was turning into Mr.Angry)
Keep your chin up.

There's the proof we needed-it stopped moving when you started videoing it!
It knew, that shows there is a sentient being in control of it. It only moves when it's not being filmed so you can't prove it's active. After all, without proof people would think you were mad??
We have to ask why this fire extinguisher with a life of its own has come to HBC? Perhaps you are the chosen few!
