I'll always thnk of it as Queen's Park anyway. It sounds like BRI when really it's just the extended version of QP.

I'm same I always say Queens park. Both my kids were born there.....so when they are older and ask where they were born what should I say??

Queens Park or Blackburn Royal Hospital?

" Well you was born at Blackburn Royal Hospital, but then another hospital merged with QP so they changed the name to BRH..." ****** lol

If there's anybody still alive who remembers it as a workhouse it's about time they popped their clogs!

I'm not saying anyone around nowadays remembers it as that , but it used to be spoke of that way when we were kids

My grannie used to tell me that. Mind you, they don't even use the same entrance these days.

My mum is currently in the Intensive Care Unit at the Royal Blackburn Hospital. The staff looking after her are absolutely amazing. She has a nurse with her 24 hours a day.
