Can't wait to hit the sack.
Not what you think, you naughty lot :-
Have been delivered a new carpet/bed today. Long overdue. Gawd if those dust mites could speak.
The bed must have been at least 30 years old ..hurry up Environmental Health and collect from me drive... the burns,(too many fags), the stains, broken springs, all tells a story.
Not just the sexual encounters/pillow talk, but the memories of my children/grandaughter climbing next to me for comfort when they were sick or begged a story from Roald Dahl to Charles Dickens; these will be embedded forever in what appears to be straw fillings. The arguments/discussions during my marriage. Menopausal stains ( you women will know). The springs sprouting from the mattress causing external injury to various parts of my body , and what could appear sad to some, the concave shape on the right hand side of this 4'6" width. double bed.
Although this new bed does appear to be at least one foot taller, just keeping me fingers crossed that I don't roll out in the middle of the night. The Damson/Gold Shinto duvet cover and pillowcase set surely makes up for this.
I wish myself sweet dreams, and if I eventually pass away in this new luxury of comfort, I will not have any regrets ...

Re: Can't wait to hit the sack.
Blimey! A 30 year old bed!
It was probably held together with dust mite faeces!
Glad to hear you've replaced it now.......and as Nina Simone said, Don't smoke in bed.
Enjoy.

Re: Can't wait to hit the sack.
Smoking in bed is more than likely to become 1/2 a day out with the undertaker. Believe me I've seen the aftermath of smoking in bed quite a number of times and its not a pretty site.
Think about your children and grandchildren and the effect it will have on them.

You really kind you lot, am going to really try ... cost me an arm and a leg to re-furbish my bedroom, but was really trying to be a little sentimental here, and hope you would come back with lovely stories of armchairs, settees, etc., memories like.

'Tis Accylass .. all Next lol ... was trying to get some piccies up for you, but nothing seems to be working tonight. Can't download from their site, and camera will not behave
Didn't go for a memory bed, seemed a bit soft to me, although people who have them say take time to get used to them, but once there, are OK.
Now retiring, step ladder at the ready .. Offers from any of our male members always welcome for a hitch up ...

Re: Can't wait to hit the sack.
I have a mahogany stained sewing box which my dad made for me. The legs are cotton mill 'picking sticks'. It is solidly made but a little ungainly looking, but I won't ever get rid - even though I don't sew anymore.

Re: Can't wait to hit the sack.
Sweet dreams.
Carry on smoking, just be careful.
A shared post-coital cigarette is hardly as romantic if you're both stood on the back door step.
