Re: charity

How about organising a Bring and Buy? Or is that too ambitious? Last time I did one we had a free venue because it was at the old folks home we were raising money for. My late MIL spent her last days is Park Lee and I wouldn't mind being involved too as long as it's not on a Sunday.

Re: charity

cheers Lesley, ok all we need now is a venue, maybe for a saturday so willow can make it, we could even have a jumble sale, you dont see many of those nowadays, i'm sure we could all collect some things between us...seen as most of you are from the Accy area i think that would be a great place to have it

My husband Len was in the Hospice in July for the week before his death - peaceful atmosphere and wonderful nursing staff - we asked for donations instead of floral tributes and had a bucket collection at Accy Stanley and raised hundreds of pounds for the Hospice and McMillan nurses.

Re: charity

OK, so anybody got any ideas for a venue?

Oh, and it needs to be well publicised but if it's for charity a lot of shops let you put little posters (A4) in their windows.

I hope the poster will be a little more colourful than the logo you did. If you remember a room full of people said it was a little drab
