Re: D.i.y Discoveries

We took up some floorboards once and found some tools, saw, screwdriver that kind of thing. I wonder how long the person who left them under there had been looking for them before he bought new ones? Or maybe it was intentional - maybe he 'lost' them so he could get out of doing DIY.

Re: D.i.y Discoveries

When my brother was doing his house up for the first time my mum went through the floorboards - it was funny seeing her legs kicking but when they finally got her out they found a whole pile of papers of stuff about the house and i found an old fag packet - dated 1928!

I found an old fag packet when I was renovating the bathroom, never heard of the brand and I can't remember now what it was, anyway I put it on Ebay and sold it for £3.50

Yeah, all the time. I find out what a crappy carpenter I can be at times!

Not bad - presume it was empty? Was that in the days when people actually bought things on eBay? It seems very slow selling things there these days.
