Dear George W
Shamelessy stolen from elsewhere!
George,
I know that, like me, you'll have spent the past two weeks wondering how to
punish the sea for killing all of them people and I know that, like me,
you've probably realised that bombing the sea doesn't do an awful lot.
However it has occurred to me that the sea is a liquid and the natural enemy
of the liquid is the drinking straw.
If you ask your science boffins they'll tell you that for a straw to work
you need one end stuck in liquid and a vacuum at the other end. What's
more, if you ask the boys as NASA they'll tell you that space is one _big_
vacuum.
So, if you construct a big metal pipe, stick one end in the Indian Ocean and
the other end in space then you can suck all of that evil water into space,
killing it instantly, and leaving room for the good water in the other
oceans to colonise the space it leaves behind in the name of democracy and
freedom.
So, how about it? Is it a plan or what? If it works then you could use it
in future to lower sea levels and get rid of the threat of melting ice caps
in the ozone layer or whatever it is that those environmentalists keep
banging on about.
PS My wife thinks that if you suck the Indian ocean into space it might
turn into a big comet of ice and smack into us, but what does she know, eh?
