devils coach horse rescue

I awoke this morn, to find a devils coach horse beetle in my bedroom. Gorgeous, exquisite little chap.Unfortunately, he'd lost a leg and one of his front legs was paraylysed. I let him trundle up and down my arm for a while, so's to study him - it was an insect/human bonding moment! Magnificent! I didn't want to put him outside as there's a harvestman lives next to the door hinge - my beetle mate would be a goner. So I put him in the cubby under the stairs, hope he makes it.I figured it was a good start to the day!

There was a small toad in my conservatory last week, don't know if it's still there, it went behind my settee.
