Doritos

is it possible to get a craving for something even if you're not pregnant?

i've got a 'thing' for chilli heatwave doritos at the moment

anyone else have random cravings?

when i was pregnant with Reece i had to have at least 2 bags of Walkers ready salted crisps a day, loved them

I don't like normal chicken soup as it is too creamy for me, I do like Weight Watchers chicken soup though as its not as creamy.

Re: Doritos

In one of the modules I did at uni last year we discussed this exact thing. It would appear that we all from time to time 'crave' certain things, this is because our brain remembers what effect certain foods have on our metabolism, and our body's other needs, or even our psychological needs. It is entirely a subconcious phenomenon.

For example people who are suffering a temporary drop in their iron levels, then to crave iron rich foods such as broccoli.

Have you ever wondered why, after a night out involving copious amounts of alcohol, many people seem compelled to eat the most horrendously greasy, fat laden kebab? It is because the body is craving fatty foods to try and help 'soak up' the sugary alcohol, and make it easier to digest. However if the levels of fat and sugar are to high for the body to process, then the inevitable conversation with Lou will soon follow!!!!
