I haven't had one since 1995, I'm allergic to them, don't have the pneumonia jab either

Sure was Shaz, had a nice jaunt down Ossy, had a look in the Youth and Community Centre and had a brew with Martin the centre manager, and the sun was shinning all the time too

Re: Flu Jab
was talking to the nurse about it today and he said it isn't the same as it used to be, there is nothing 'live' in it anymore

Re: Flu Jab
My other half is supposed to have it....and I know it is not a live virus, but if he has it he gets really bad colds(he calls it 'flu'...but it isn't) one after another...so last year he didn't have the jab, and he was well all winter......never got a cold.

Re: Flu Jab
Yup, have a flu jab every year, and I have the sore arm to prove it - five days later! - but I don't get flu.

Re: Flu Jab
i've had it this year because i've had a really bad chest, my asthma seems to be getting worse, everytime i have a cold it seems to lay heavy on my chest making me very breathless, i know it won't stop me having a cold but if it stops me having flu and feeling a lot worse than i do at the moment it was worth having it

That's exactly what happened to me Margaret, I used to have the flu jab every year and within a few days I ended up in Queens Park E3 and was in and out of hospital all winter, I had my last flu jab in October 1994, the next year I refused, it wasn't until august 2002 that I was next admitted to hospital, seemed to work for me
