George Formby and Uncle Adolf were buddies
strange stuff you come across on late night trolling of the web ...seems Lancashire icon George Formby and Adolf Hitler crossed paths and took a liking for each other .....make your own minds up to the veracity of this .. the name of the site says enough ..

Re: George Formby and Uncle Adolf were buddies
Southport has more restaurants, bars and cafes per capita than Paris. Take a stroll along the seaside town's main thoroughfare, Lord Street, and it quickly becomes clear that this claim isn't a preposterous as it sounds - the leafy boulevard is lined with food outlets from end to end. But the Paris connection doesn't end there. The future French emperor Napoleon III was briefly exiled in Southport in the 1840s. He lived on Lord Street and on his return to France ripped out the medieval heart of the French capital replacing it with the broad tree-lined boulevards, walkways and arcades he had first encountered on Lord Street.
Lord Street, Southport (2006) restaurants, eating out, dining, pubs, bars in Lord Street, Southport (2006) Lancashire.

His half-brother and his family did live in Toxteth, in the years just prior to WWI. Though there's no actual evidence young Adolf came to visit his relatives, it is belived by some that he lived in Liverpool for six months in 1912-13.
It was an answer to a question in the first edition of Trivial Pursuits.
It's also rumoured that Herr Hitler attended my old alma mater, Liverpool Art School.
There are many names carved into the benches in the lecture hall.
J. Lennon.
A. Hitler.
G. Arinda.
Though most are belived to be forgeries.

Re: George Formby and Uncle Adolf were buddies
If George was a secret Nazi, and admired by Hitler, was his clog dancing wife from Accrington, similarly adored by Eva Braun?

This article is obviously a farce as it mentions Johnny Morris of "Animal Magic" as a Nazi loving satanist! So it's all got to be a joke!

Hmmm, things aren't always as they seem are they?
Uncle Jo Stalin reputed to have caused the deaths of over 50 million which makes Hitlers approximate 20 million pale into insignificance & now it is revealed that Hitler was a mate of a half baked British comedy banjolele playing moron, Well as old George often used to say,

I admit is does sound a little outlandish, but I have learnt about so many surreal things in the last few years, that I don't automically rule out any possibilities.
