No-one has it yet. No they are not still going and probably haven't been for 40 years but the 'commercial jingle' was very well known in the late 50's. I'll give you this one and set another from the same period.
QCS, QCS, here's the meaning of QCS,
For Quick and Cheerful Services,
It's your REGENT STATION, QCS!
OK here's the new one. You lot have until tomorrow morning, if you don't get it by then I'll reveal all and try a more up to date one. Maybe I'm the oldest person around here and expecting too much!
This one was partly sung and partly spoken. The singing was done by a female out of sight, whilst an attractive young lady in a sailor suit (short, shorts) held up the product and did the talking. As before, each dash represents a letter.
Here we go:
Sung:
You'll be thrilled with ------ ----,
You'll be thrilled with ------ ----,
You'll be thrilled with ------ ----,
Spoken: (by aforementioned attractive young lady in sailor suit wearing short shorts, phwaaaaar)
"Yes, you'll be thrilled with ------ ----, they're delicious, and only a shilling a tin."
Sung:
------ ---- are super.
Any ideas?
