So I finally got around to fitting some extra cupboards etc. to this new place I've moved into.
You know how it is, you move into a place and even though it is nicely fitted out there is never enough cupboard space, (for those useless items that you should have thrown away years ago but you keep
just in case).
So you move, you drag everything with you, with nowhere to put it, well for once I was ahead of the game, the house I left is to be demolished the kitchen cabinets are only a few years old, so rather than leave them I brought them with me.
I have taken my time given everything a good coating of looking at and finally decided where these extra units should go.
First one fits perfectly above my bookcase in the alcove between the kitchen and lounge, so I set to work fitting it. measured up fitted in next to no time looks grand.
Next one under the stairs, Oh dear tape measure gone missing not to worry it's one of these expensive Hi-vis jobs (about £1.50), I'll soon see where it is.
I searched the house high and low could not find it, my brew ended up cold while I was looking, nuked it and allowed the milk to curdle yet again as I'm looking. Finally gave up, switched on the computer to complain to my sympathetic accyweb member friends, lent back in my chair and got a severe dig in the back from the tape measure I had attached to my belt!
What is the point of making it Hi-vis, if when it's stuck to your belt, you can't see it anyway???
Mr. Manufacturer please, either Hi-vis Or attached to the belt please don't give me a choice D.I.Y. is confusing enough.
