How things change
Last night you could get an award for thread wondering. Only one day later rindy and I get a virtual bottom smack for it. Please be gentle with him or he might go off in a huff for a full 15 minutes.

Re: How things change
If it's any consolation, I got a little bit of a flak for suggesting an award for best thread wander because it might encourage.............yes, you've guessed it - thread wandering. Oops.

Re: How things change
We did get told off, but do I look bothered?
Frankly the general thread has become as dull as ditch water. I neither read or post much in it anymore. Like Neil said, one night you're lauded for thread wandering and get a thousand ackers and a gold name, next you are told to be good lads and stick to the point. That's show business, but this isn't. If only a cat would go missing and would be found in a terrorist cell in Church, we could all get stuck in again with worthwhile postings with real local merit.
I did go off for a couple of hours tonight, not in a huff, but for some real culture on Channel 5, with Peter Andre presenting two hours of the best television talent show moments. Pure class.

Re: How things change
There may well be quite a division of interests amongst the AccyWebbers these days because what some find interesting others find dull and boring.
I am personally fascinated by things which are actually about Accrington and the surrounding area and from which we all have the chance to learn a little more about the place in which we live or from whence we came. I miss some of the discussions we used to have and photos of old Accy etc.
I know others prefer the simple chit-chat and idle banter which at one time was confined to the chat room at moderator's request. Perhaps there are more members these days who prefer the latter, which is why I tend to go off onto other message boards which although they are not Accy centred do have some more serious and interesting discussion topics.

Re: How things change
I quire agree, I do too.
As well as getting told off for being silly, and thread wandering, we were having a serious discussion about the dress policy regarding local nightspots in the trainers thread.

Somehow, I doubt if Rindy would complain to much about a botty spanking.

Yes I do.
Anything to do with botties, spanked or not, is right of the menu.
I thank you, but won't slap you.
