Is This A Pub Or A Kesh?

Yes, I'm enjoying the high life once more out and about in Accy, having a couple of bevvy's.
One guy, he's loud and just a touch annoyingly merry, he keeps saying he's leaving, gets as far as the door, hesitates then comes back in to carry on his conversation with anyone that will listen.
On his third return he stood next to a woman with a child in a pushchair and started a fresh conversation.
This 'Lady' turned to him and said, if you wake my child up I'll make sure you regret coming back in here, (she put in a few expletives where she considered appropriate).
He, staggered back a little, tilted his head and said, 'what are you on about woman? Is this a pub or a firkin kresh? (he pronounced it Kesh)People like me pay to get in this condition put up with it or put your kid in a pre-school nursery where they can sleep all afternoon, too many pubs being ruined by mothers drinking and not caring'.
Her reply isn't fit to be repeated, though he got a cheer for his outspoken reply.
I've got to admit this was one of the first times I've thought he made sense, I cheered as well.
