It's a bestseller....

One word, why? Why are people so interested in what ‘poor me’ Harry has to bleat about that they are parting with their money to buy his book. It’s bad enough that we have to put up with the bits and pieces from it that come on tv, though I have to say my tv’s mute button is working overtime. Who cares about Ginge and his continuous whinge. Why do him and his missus think they are important to the rest of us. As for the horrible hard life he has had there are many people who would cheerfully have changed places with him, people who know what a hard life really is.

So as to my question why is the book already a bestseller - well I think the answer is, to coin that well-known expression, there’s nowt so queer as folk.

Or another thought springs to my mind….a fool and his money are soon parted.

There is supposed to be a financial crisis here….with families struggling to pay food and power bills.
This book retails at £28. OK some outlets have already slashed the price to £14.
But that is a very expensive way to buy stuff to wipe your bum with.

Save your money….buy yourself a ham shank and some steeped peas and have a good dish of pea and ham soup….it will (eventually) provide you with more hot air than this book will.

Like you Dorothy, I am sick of seeing this ginger wringer on my screen and even more fed up of listening to the experts who want to pick it apart.
This man has smoked too much of the wacky baccy and it has addled his small brain.
shillelagh, dotti34 and taddy like this.

Re: It's a bestseller....

It seems as if the forum members have little interest in this topic either Dorothy….so I can’t imagine there was a queue outside WHSmiths at midnight the other night.
I don’t think many copies will be sold in our neck of the woods.
It seems like Accrington is waiting for it to be on the shelves in Poundland.
Even then it is too expensive to use as bum wipes.

Apparently it's already sold a million copies, I assume that's worldwide?

I for one am fed up hearing about them both, their faces have been on the front page of almost every newspaper so far this year.

It just shows how many gullible people there are with the money to buy this tripe.

It is just one viewpoint of events and many of these are incorrect.
Hazbeen thinks that it is alright because it is HIS memory.
His memory is flawed. It is affected by the weed he has smoked and is probably still using.
He would make what is called ‘an unreliable witness’.
