Re: makes a change from a jumper or scarf....
Thought this was a wind up when I first spotted it!
Surely they need to be a certain consistency, to be manipulated like a normal post natal boob? . what are they supposed to be padded with?

Re: makes a change from a jumper or scarf....
i dunno but surely pregnant women already know what a breast looks like
my midwife when i was pg with ty had a knitted uterus and cervix which she used with a doll to demonstrate giving birth lol

Oh my lord!
Makes you wonder how we coped in years gone by.
Refused to go to ante natal classes when pregnant with twins... Wasn't offered them with my first in '71!
Would be a good idea I was told. Erm no, think after 4 kids I know what I'm doing. In fact after one I did. Any mum worth her salt , it should come naturally to even with the first, we've survived centuries that way.

It doesn't come naturally to everyone. If you're a new mum and you've not been brought up around babies how are you supposed to know?
I am an only child, I was only 22 when I had my first baby and he was the first baby I had ever held!
I was petrified at first and was grateful for all help and advice offered to me.

The point i am making is that we never had things like this way back then.
Didn't even get my first scan till the last months of my 4th pregnancy in 77.
I wasn't an only child, but had no experience of babies. My brother was born when i was 4, so no help there in going through pregnancy or motherhood! All i remember about him as a baby is his constant pooing!
My first baby was the first newborn i had ever held or had any dealings with.
Think these days we are being brainwashed into thinking if you haven't been to this class or that, you can't do it right!
Not saying you can't ask for help if you want it
Of course you are nervous with your first. That's been so since time immemoriable.

Re: makes a change from a jumper or scarf....
In the instructions it suggests stuffing them with 'old tights'.
Please only used washed tights.
If not, only use the leg part, not the feet or the crotch.
Knitty bitty.

Re: makes a change from a jumper or scarf....
Just felt my boobies, and they don't feel like old tights!

True.
Though that's probably down to people using different wool, or the size of their needles.
