Man, 93 gives up driving

BBC NEWS | Wales | OAP's £60k Porsche crash escape

after causing £60,000 of damage to 2 Porsche's!!!

After 76 years of driving - no parking tickets, no points - he has an accident and gives up driving.

he should have give up years ago, then this would not have happened in the first place!
how anyone at that age can drive is beyond me!
yes he may have been good once but as ya get older ya reflexs arnt as fast

ok i dont agree with him giving up driving but what i do think should happen is that when you are of a certain age you should have to re-sit your test to see if you are still capable of driving

Think you do have to re-sit your test, not sure what age at though

I think that once you are over 70 you have to undergo a medical every 3 years to assess your ability to remain a driver.

You only have to retake you test if ordered by the court. This guy may not have had an accident before but how many has he caused, my Father was still driving at 83 but he shouldn't have been, he was a danger to himself and other road users
