Re: Most unusual reasons for giving karma?
he should be able to find out through the admin control pannel but probably only does so when people make threats or are extremely abusive and stuff ..
when i was an admin on another forum there were plenty of things you could find out but i kept breaking everything so i limited my use of the admin pannel lol

Re: Most unusual reasons for giving karma?
I would ask them to look into it if it was abusive, but it was just weird.

Re: Most unusual reasons for giving karma?
It laughed at this one
On Behalf of Gayle Night 01-04-2005 19:10 The thread was started on Gayle Knight's behalf because she started hers in the wrong forum. She wasn't going to come back and start a new one. She wanted questions posted that she could come back to answer. They must think that Gayle is not clever enough to start her own thread.
It was about this post I think

This thread would be better off closed.

Whoever it was did not sign it. I must have upset somebody by making a sensible suggestion. It was probably from one of the anti-panoptican lobby upset that the thread ended up making the project seem more sensible and useful than it had at first.

Re: Most unusual reasons for giving karma?
I got 39 points for Karma, on Sunday night - I'll bet it's a record to get so many points all in the space of four hours. Now, if only I knew what it all meant......

Re: Most unusual reasons for giving karma?
I got good karma from the gayle thread and it read "keep out of it"......................I just couldn't understand it!
I thought this was a discussion board..............it was when i asked for everyone to stop firing questions at her and give her chance to answer the previous ones.
I can see this karma lark causing problems like it did on another forum!!

Re: Most unusual reasons for giving karma?
Not an unusual comment, [sick,] but the colour was, it was grey. Not red or green, and because l got some others l can't tell if it was good or bad. Has the moderator whipped my sorry ass?
Jason and l had a quiet, sharing time in the chatroom, and are now buds again.

So far as I understand if karma is issued by a new member that has not yet posted enough to give 'actual' karma then it will show in a light blue/grey colour.

Re: Most unusual reasons for giving karma?
I haven't had any weird karma for ages unless you count the one where someone said I was risking being thought of as a "polite racist". That amused me.

Isn't it interesting how the same post can generate such different opinions?

Lol, publicly named and shamed!
In my defence l have to put this into context. Gobby had just deducted karma from me unsigned, but being that there was only the two of us on at the time l knew who it was. The deduction said l was "becoming arrogant." Like a big baby, and feeling rather peeved l hit back.
We're friends again now, as l think he' knows' my Aunt!!!!!

It doesn't do to make assumptions. What you think you see isn't always necessarily the case. Ask Doug and Busman for confirmation of that.

Lol, as well as using scientific deduction, us being the only two registered users on line at that moment in the early morning, l'm also gifted at mind reading!
l know what your thinking now. l'll take it as a compliment.
