NO, you are completely wrong...well your context is anyway.
Donkey stones were the domain of the houseproud housewife......the front steps used to be washed and while still wet rubbed over with a soft piece of sandstone.....which left a pattern on the steps and showed that they had been washed and 'stoned'......if you recall earlier in the post there was some alluding to cleaning......and I think it was Less who asked for a large sponge to clean his back.....so I just thought I would remind Accylass to take along a donkey stone for the front. Less is old enough to understand about it, even if accylass isn't. It was all about housewifely duties.......nothing sinister in that(at least on my part there wasn't).
