Boozer ordered to stay drunk
A Welsh drinker faces arrest if he sobers up thanks to a legal blunder, the Sun reports.
Steve Winstone of Aberporth, West Wales received an Anti-Social Behaviour Order (ASBO) after a series of drunk and disorderly convictions.
But because the order was drafted incorrectly, the 38-year-old was banned from not being drunk in public.
A court in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire failed to spot the error when issuing the ASBO.
Appearing before JPs in Weymouth, Dorset on Thursday, Mr Winstone admitted to using threatening words or behaviour.
Yet he was told he could not be charged with breaching his ASBO as it was wrongly worded.
"It is fortunate for you the ASBO has been badly written," magistrate Colin Weston told Mr Winstone, who was fined £100.
