SORRY GUYS........I didn't reply cos I went away on monday and only came home today.

Well monday was AGONY!! took painkillers like toffee's then cured it with plenty of beer

.

Tuesday it was feeling a little better til kids dragged me into swimming baths on hols

Wednesday could move it a bit more freely.

Thursday much better.

Today, a heck of a lot better. My shoulder still gets twinges, but my neck is doing a heck of a lot better. Still can't figure out what I had done!! But I just hope it isn't a re-occurring thing because it was very very painful.

Thanks for your suggestions. And if it ever comes back I will seek medical help.

glad your feeling better slinks ..i went on wednesday for tests (think ive got a trapped nerve neck or somewhere) & was fitted with these devices which puts a small electric current up your arms & hands/fingers it was quite funny really seeing my hands/arms flying about ....me not in control didn't take long .waiting for results

OH hope everything goes well Mez.... It is bloody awful when your neck is sore, slightest movement nearly had me in tears

Glad you feeling better, shame happened before your holiday .. sod's law is evil, aint it ?

Think also, when you have got something like that, because you are so afraid of moving, tense up more and particularly with muscle pulls, etc, make them worse cause you can't relax .. you also strain other muscles too around the shoulders. You will be just better for going back to work then ..

OMG I have a slinky neck today, was at hairdressers this morning at it just seized up!!!! AND IT HURTS LIKE HELL!! got a wheat bag on it at mo, but I'm out tonight and hope it eases before then!

OH HR sorry to hear that.......mine was the same. Dunno why it happened. I tried the wheat pack thingy too but it didn't work. Hope yours clears up quicker than mine did

Well I'm sure the amount of alcohol I will consume tonight should help

Will have to avoid getting into any funny positions though

try that deep freeze cream, or spray its supposed to be for joints and sprains..etc. deep heat is more for muscle pain

Well I drunk quite a lot of beer on holiday so it was numbed most of the time lol.

I would try the creams but don't want to go out tonight smelling like I've been smothered in pile's cream

But if it's still bad tomorrow I def will be putting some on, deep heat cream not pile's cream lol

Will everyone please take care after reading this thread. I would hate to think someone got mixed up and put deep heat on their piles.
