G-C ... do you remember the Coronation ? We didn't have a telly, all partied at a neighbours who had a Bush with the enlargement screen over it .. felt so proud of our country ? Just watched in colour tonight on telly, and the Golden Carriage .. magic !

Here in Australia of course......we celebrate the Queen,s birthday in June....don,t ask me why....but we do get a public holiday for it......
I remember watching her coronation on tv in 1953.....think it was a 9 inch set ...and have always admired the way she has conducted herself in her duties and steered the younger royals through difficult times.
Long may she reign.......

yes i remember the actual coronation in 1953,,, we had just got a telly,and it seemed the whole street was packed in to see it,,,
