Record Deck

I recently needed to replace my turntable so I went to
my local second hand shop and asked the proprietor if
he had one. He said, "your lucky I've just got one
left".
He took me through to the back room where there was a
large mahogany box with a brass horn shaped trumpet on
the top it had a handle sticking out the side,
he said, "there you go your's for £70!"
I said, "what is this some sort of wind-up?"
