Re: revenge...how do you do yours?
I think revenge is a waste of time and energy. I grew out of it a long time ago. Let life take care of things and just move on. If you show that you need to waste so much of your own time on someone who is no longer interested in you, who is really the winner there? You or them? If you totally ignore them and move on to better things then you are the winner because they are no longer wasting any of your precious time.

Re: revenge...how do you do yours?
Spot on Willow.....and Cashy, I think it is better to treat people how you would WANT to be treated.
Saying that, many years ago I had had a big row with hubby and thought I would teach him a lesson....I starched all of his underpants...I mean like 3 boxes of Robin starch.......they were like cardboard....couldn't be folded, had to be bent.....he got the message....but who do you think got the job of washing all the starch out of those grunnies....yeah, you guessed it - it was yours truly......so I guess it wasn't really a win - more like a score draw!
Now I am older I realise that there are very few people who are worth my spending time trying to get one up on them.....life will do it for me. All I have to do is wait.

Re: revenge...how do you do yours?
A few months ago I heard a talk by someone about choosing not to be offended. He explained that no-one else can ever actually offend you if you choose not to be offended by them. I'm not very good at explaining it but it did make perfect sense to me. If you dwell on whatever it is they have done to you it doesn't actually affect them at all but it does affect you so why waste time doing that to yourself?

Re: revenge...how do you do yours?
I find the best way to 'get revenge' on someone who's hurt you, is to just get on with your life and enjoy it the best way you can.
I don't always practice what I preach, but I try to most of the time.

Re: revenge...how do you do yours?
would just add, revenge should only be sought for very serious things, not piddling bits of arguement/grief etc, most people i suspect view their own dispute as serious, when in fact after time n reflection it wasn,t,

Re: revenge...how do you do yours?
I generally work on what goes around comes around. If someone has done you harm then you generally find that it will come back to them, likewise if you do something good it usually comes back in spades. I don't concern myself with personal revenge, its a self destructive behaviour

Re: revenge...how do you do yours?
Unfortunately the people so intent on revenge cannot see how self destructive it is can they?

Re: revenge...how do you do yours?
Well, I don't think anybody has done anything yet where I would wish to seek revenge .. at least not that I've never noticed if they did intend to hurt
'Cept a certain 'employer' and that was easy .. just took the business away with me ..

Re: revenge...how do you do yours?
I can't remember taking any revenge on anyone in the last number of years. I can still wear myself thinking about it so best to just let it go.
I get along with most everyone I come into contact with so rarely get, or cause, wrong(ed).
If none of that works, I guess I just burn their house down!

Re: revenge...how do you do yours?
I believe that what goes around comes around, however, there have been the odd occassion when someone has done me wrong and after many years, if it hasn't come back around to them, I've given it a bit of push.

Re: revenge...how do you do yours?
i got left for dead 9 years ago i moved on and away. for the sake of my wife and kids it was hard moving to a new area for all of us call me a chicken or what you want but for me to get revenge would have been to finish what he tried doing to me so sometimes it isnt worth it!
